![]() I even reflashed the motherboard’s BIOS firmware and reset CMOS but to no avail. ![]() I tried chipset, SSD, NVMe, sound, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, RST (Rapid Storage Technology) drivers, and many more. I even downloaded new drivers straight from hardware product web sites (using Linux, of course), but still this error message persisted. Nothing worked and no driver solved the problem. I even dusted off a lonely DVD-ROM drive just to install the original motherboard drivers from various CD-ROMs shipped with motherboards. As a result, I spent hours upon hours of trial and error installing drivers from various installation CD-ROMs. All hardware more than met the specs for a Windows installation.Īny arm chair expert’s first response would be, “Just install the drivers.” Okay, which drivers? This is an incredibly vague error message that does not specify which media driver is missing. After searching for drivers from ANY installation media that contains valid drivers, this prompt always appears.
